Connect TripAdvisor

Connecting your TripAdvisor listing, and what to check if it doesn't sync.

TripAdvisor reviews tend to be longer and more detailed than Google’s, which makes them especially useful for spotting themes.

Connect it

  1. Open the connections area of your workspace and choose TripAdvisor.
  2. Search for your business by name and location.
  3. Confirm the correct listing from the results — check the address, not just the name.
  4. Authorise the connection if prompted.

The first sync pulls your review history, not just new reviews. Depending on volume this takes anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours.

You’ll need

Your TripAdvisor listing URL, or enough of the business name and location to find it.

Find the right listing

TripAdvisor separates hotels, restaurants and attractions. If your business is more than one of these — a hotel with a restaurant — you may have more than one listing, and they’re reviewed independently. Connect each one you want monitored.

Watch for duplicates

TripAdvisor listings occasionally get duplicated by user submissions. If you find two for the same business, claim and merge them on TripAdvisor before connecting, or you’ll be monitoring half your reviews.

If your listing doesn’t appear

Usually one of:

  • The listing is unclaimed — claim it on TripAdvisor first
  • There are duplicate listings and you’ve connected the quieter one
  • The business is listed under a former name

Try searching with just the business name, then narrowing by city. If it still doesn’t appear, send us a link to your listing and we’ll connect it from our side.

After connecting

Once reviews are syncing, decide how you want them handled — automatically, or with your approval first.
