Connecting your Facebook listing, and what to check if it doesn't sync.

Facebook recommendations skew toward customers who already follow you, which makes them useful for gauging how your regulars feel.

Connect it

  1. Go to Insights → Reviews and choose Connect Review Source.
  2. Pick Facebook from the platform list, then Continue.
  3. Give the source a name, and paste your Review Page URL — the public address of your Facebook listing. Open your listing in a browser and copy the URL from the address bar.
  4. Continue. You’ll see Connection Successful! when it’s accepted.

An invalid URL is rejected at this step rather than failing quietly later, so if it’s accepted you’re connected.

The first sync pulls your review history, not just new reviews. Depending on volume that takes anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours.

You’ll need

Admin access to your Facebook Page.

Recommendations, not stars

Facebook uses yes/no recommendations rather than a star rating. Sentiment scoring reads the accompanying text, which is where the substance is.

Check reviews are enabled

Pages can have recommendations turned off entirely. If yours is off, no reviews exist to sync — turn it on in your Page settings first.

If your listing doesn’t appear

Usually one of:

  • Recommendations are disabled on the Page
  • You have Page access but not an admin role
  • The Page was recently merged with another

If the URL is rejected, open your listing in a browser and copy the address exactly as it appears — a search-results URL or a shortened link won’t work. Still stuck? Send us a link to your listing and we’ll connect it from our side.

After connecting

Once reviews are syncing, decide how you want them handled — automatically, or with your approval first.
