FeedbackRobot for Slack
Reviews, surveys and reputation, in the Slack channel your team already uses
See new reviews as they arrive, check how the week went, and send customer surveys from Slack. Every survey, new review source and social caption waits for a teammate to click Approve.
What FeedbackRobot does
FeedbackRobot is a customer feedback and reputation platform for hotels, restaurants and other businesses that live on their reviews. It collects your reviews from the sites customers already use, sends surveys after a visit or a purchase, and helps your team follow up with the customers who had a bad experience.
The problem it solves: feedback is scattered. Reviews arrive on half a dozen sites, survey results sit in a dashboard nobody opens, and an unhappy customer can wait days for anyone to notice. The Slack app brings that feedback to the channel where your team already talks, so the right people see it the same day and can act on it without switching tools.
How it works in Slack
Three steps, all inside Slack. After that, work with FeedbackRobot by mentioning @FeedbackRobot in a channel or with the /feedbackrobot command.
-
01
Add FeedbackRobot to Slack
Click Add to Slack and approve the permissions. FeedbackRobot sends you a direct message right away.
-
02
Link your FeedbackRobot account
FeedbackRobot matches your Slack email to your FeedbackRobot login and emails you a sign-in link. No account yet? It sets one up for you.
-
03
Bind a channel
Run /feedbackrobot bind in the channel where your team should see reviews and survey results. Or type /feedbackrobot start for a guided setup.
What you can do from Slack
Everything here works today. The bot understands a fixed set of commands rather than free conversation; type @FeedbackRobot help to see them all.
Reputation
New-review alerts in a channel
New reviews from your connected platforms post in the channel you bind. Choose every review or only negative ones (3 stars and below).
/feedbackrobot alerts all | negative | off
Connect a review page
Paste a Google, Yelp, Facebook, TripAdvisor, Booking.com, OpenTable, Zomato or Agoda review page link. FeedbackRobot detects the platform and asks you to approve before it starts collecting.
@FeedbackRobot connect <review page link>
Social post captions from your best reviews
FeedbackRobot picks your top reviews for a period and drafts a caption. Approve to publish it in FeedbackRobot, or discard it. Posting to social networks is still a copy and paste.

Surveys
Survey a customer by email
Name the customer's email and FeedbackRobot shows an approval card with the survey and recipient. The email is sent only after someone clicks Approve.
@FeedbackRobot survey [email protected]
Bulk send from a CSV
Drop a CSV of customer emails in the channel. FeedbackRobot finds the addresses (up to 500) and shows one approval card for the whole list.
Upload a .csv file
AI-drafted survey templates
Describe what you want to learn and FeedbackRobot drafts the questions. Review the draft, then Keep or Discard it.

Embed codes
Get a drop-in script or a plain link for a survey, so your website or product can collect feedback continuously.

Responses
Responses threaded where you asked
When a customer answers a survey sent from Slack, the response posts in the same thread as the original request. Negative responses also get an AI summary.
@FeedbackRobot did they respond?
Failed-recovery alerts
When FeedbackRobot's follow-up conversation with an unhappy customer ends without a resolution, the bound channel is told so a person can step in.
On by default in bound channels
Reply to the customer from the thread
Type a reply in a survey-response thread and FeedbackRobot sends it to the customer by email, then confirms in the thread.
Reply in the thread
Reporting
Stats when you ask
Positive, neutral and negative reviews, surveys sent, response rate and recovery outcomes, for today, this week, this month, this year or all time.
@FeedbackRobot how did we do this week?
Weekly digest
Bound channels get a weekly summary of reviews and surveys, compared with the week before. Monday by default; pick any day or turn it off. Skipped in a week with no activity.
/feedbackrobot digest friday | off
A person decides, every time
Anything that reaches a customer, or goes live in your FeedbackRobot workspace, shows up as a card first. It runs only when a teammate clicks Approve (or Keep), and the card records who decided and when. Cards that nobody acts on expire after 24 hours.
- Needs an Approve click: sending a survey, a CSV bulk send, connecting a review page, publishing a social caption.
- Saved as a draft until you choose: AI-drafted survey templates and social captions. Discard deletes the draft.
- Sent when you send it: a reply you type yourself in a survey-response thread goes to that customer by email, and FeedbackRobot confirms it in the thread.

How the Slack app uses AI
AI output can be wrong.
Drafted survey questions, social captions and response summaries are written by an AI model. They can misread a response, miss context or state something inaccurately. Read them before you keep, approve or act on them.
Where AI is used. Three features use a large language model: drafting a survey template from your description, writing a social post caption from selected reviews, and summarizing a survey response. Alerts, stats, digests, approvals and command handling do not use an LLM; the bot recognizes a fixed set of commands.
Which model. These features use OpenAI's gpt-4o-mini through OpenAI's API. The calls are made by FeedbackRobot's core service, not by the Slack app, and only the text the feature needs is sent: the topic you typed for a survey draft, the text of the reviews chosen for a caption, or the answers in the survey response being summarized.
No training on your data. Slack message content is not used to train AI models, by us or by OpenAI. OpenAI states that data sent through its API is not used to train its models unless the customer opts in, and FeedbackRobot has not opted in.
Retention and location. FeedbackRobot's servers and databases, including the Slack app's, are in Germany (EU). Text sent to OpenAI is processed in the United States. OpenAI says it may keep API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days to monitor for abuse, then deletes them. The drafts, captions and summaries that come back are stored in your FeedbackRobot workspace like the rest of your feedback data, and you can delete them there.

Questions
Do I need a FeedbackRobot account?
Yes. The Slack app works on top of a FeedbackRobot workspace. When you link your Slack account, FeedbackRobot looks up your Slack email: if you already have an account it emails you a sign-in link, and if you don't, it creates one for you. See pricing for plans.
Can FeedbackRobot send something to a customer without us knowing?
No. Surveys, bulk sends, new review sources and social captions all go through an approval card in Slack, and nothing happens until a person clicks Approve. The one thing that sends directly is a reply you type yourself inside a survey-response thread, because typing it is the decision.
Does the bot read our channels?
No. It never reads channel history. Slack delivers messages that mention the bot, slash commands, and replies inside threads in public channels the bot is in. FeedbackRobot acts only on commands addressed to it and on replies inside survey-response threads it started, and discards everything else. Details are in the privacy policy.
Does it work in private channels?
Not today. Alerts, digests and response threads work in public channels and in your direct messages with the app.
Can it publish replies to Google or other review sites?
No. The Slack app alerts you to new reviews but does not post replies to review platforms.
How do I remove it?
A workspace admin can remove FeedbackRobot from Slack's Manage apps page at any time. When it's removed, FeedbackRobot deletes its access token and stops posting to your workspace immediately. To have the rest of your Slack data deleted sooner, email [email protected].
Need help with the Slack app?
