Your surveys

Everything you’ve built lives under My Surveys on the Survey Builder screen, nine per page.

Each survey’s menu gives you:

Duplicate before you edit anything already collecting responses. Changing a live survey’s wording means you’re comparing answers to two different questions. Duplicating is free — do it by default.

Name them so future-you can find them

A convention that works:

[Audience] – [What it measures] – [Frequency]

For example Post-stay – Guest satisfaction – Monthly. In six months, when someone asks which survey produced a number, you can answer without opening five of them.

The gallery at Browse Gallery is a shared library. Editing, duplicating and deleting gallery templates — and publishing a survey into the gallery — is restricted to FeedbackRobot administrators, not to admins within your own workspace.

For everyone else the gallery is read-only: browse it, and Use Survey Template to take a copy.

This trips people up, so to be clear: you can’t add your own survey to the gallery for your team. What you can do is build the survey once and Duplicate it whenever you need another, which achieves the same thing within your workspace.

Tidying up

Once a quarter, work through My Surveys and duplicate-then-rename anything ambiguous. A list full of Copy of Copy of Untitled Survey is how people end up rebuilding something that already existed.
