Connect your first review source

Which platforms FeedbackRobot connects to, how to connect one, and what happens during the first sync.

Updated Available on Free Agent Pro Agent Advanced Agent Enterprise

Connecting a review source is the single highest-value thing you can do in your first session. Until you do, the agent has nothing to watch.

Platforms you can connect

FeedbackRobot monitors reviews from:

Platform Typically used by
Google Every local business — usually the highest-volume source
TripAdvisor Hotels, restaurants, attractions
Booking.com Accommodation
Agoda Accommodation, strong in APAC
Yelp Restaurants and services, strongest in the US
Facebook Businesses with an active page
Zomato Restaurants
OpenTable Restaurants taking bookings
Shopify E-commerce product reviews

If you also collect feedback outside these — a POS system, a booking platform, a spreadsheet of past customers — see Integrations & Connections.

Connect a source

  1. Open the connections area of your workspace and choose the platform you want to add.
  2. Search for your business by name and location. Most platforms need both — there are a lot of businesses called “The Bistro”.
  3. Confirm the correct listing from the results. Check the address carefully; picking the wrong branch is the most common setup mistake, and it’s much easier to fix now than after a month of reviews have synced.
  4. Authorise the connection if the platform asks you to sign in.

What happens next

The first sync pulls in your review history, not just new reviews. Depending on how many you have this can take from a few minutes to a couple of hours.

You don’t need to wait around. Once it’s done you’ll see your existing reviews scored for sentiment, which immediately gives you something useful: a read on how your reputation actually looks across the whole history rather than just the last few.

After the initial sync, new reviews arrive automatically. How quickly depends on your plan — see plans and pricing.

Start with one, not all of them

It’s tempting to connect everything at once. Don’t. Connect your highest-volume platform first — for most businesses that’s Google — and get comfortable with how the agent handles those reviews before adding more.

You’ll want to adjust the tone and the resolution settings once you’ve seen real replies, and it’s much easier to do that against one source than five.

If your business doesn’t appear

  • Search with just the business name, then the city separately
  • Try the exact name as it appears on the platform itself, punctuation included
  • Confirm the listing is public and published on that platform
  • For very new listings, allow time for the platform to index them
